Nutrition And Feeding:

When it comes to feeding Aussiedoodle puppies, many people assume that more food means faster growth—but that’s not true. Overfeeding can lead to serious health issues such as obesity and joint problems. Each puppy grows at its own pace, and their diet should support healthy, steady development rather than rapid weight gain.

To ensure proper nutrition, establish a consistent feeding schedule and consult your veterinarian for guidance tailored to your puppy’s needs. For Aussiedoodle puppies between 3–6 months old, aim for about 1½ to 2 cups of high-quality puppy food per day, divided into three small meals. As your puppy reaches 6–12 months, adjust to 2 to 3 cups per day, split into two meals—morning and evening.

Once your Aussiedoodle becomes an adult, typically around one year old, maintain 2 to 3 cups of premium adult dog food daily, depending on their size, activity level, and metabolism. Active Aussiedoodles may require a bit more, while smaller or less active ones may need slightly less.

Like all breeds, Aussiedoodles can be prone to certain genetic health conditions, including hip dysplasia and progressive retinal atrophy (PRA). That’s why we carefully screen and test our breeding dogs to ensure they are healthy and free from hereditary issues. We encourage new owners to stay attentive to any changes in behavior, appetite, or mobility, and to consult their vet for routine checkups.

While exercise is essential for Aussiedoodles—known for their intelligence and playful energy—it’s important to provide age-appropriate activity. Avoid overexertion in young puppies, as their joints are still developing. Safe, gentle play and consistent training help build strong, healthy habits.
